PRODUCTION OPERATOR
Alive Dx is recruiting for a Production Print Operator to join our Manufacturing (Label Printing) team based near Edinburgh, EH26 0BF.
The role is a full-time permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
No science background or degree is required, just a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
YOUR MISSION
Your main responsibilities will include
- Performing label printing duties in compliance with agreed specifications to support the manufacture of high-quality diagnostic reagents.
- Ensuring labels are printed accurately and available in time for scheduled product fills.
- Maintaining accurate and legible records (including TROPOS system transactions) to ensure relevant laboratory information is kept in satisfactory condition.
- Maintaining equipment in accordance with agreed procedures, ensuring equipment is operating correctly.
- Maintain work environment in accordance with GMP standards and relevant Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
- Maintain stock levels and communicate regularly with other cross-functional departments to ensure there are no stock-outs or delays to the printing schedule.
- Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in continuous training activities in accordance with a personal development plan along with supporting the training of less experienced colleagues.
- YOUR COMPETENCIES
- Standard Grade/ National 4/5 or equivalent Mathematics and English
- Experience within a GMP Laboratory environment is desirable.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement models such as 5S, Lean, Six Sigma would be beneficial
- Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams.
- Excellent IT skills and ability to work with various systems as well as designing packages for documents/labels/packaging etc.
- Effective written and verbal communication with line manager, colleagues and cross functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail are required.
- A customer focused mindset with ability to take accountability, demonstrate integrity and drive results.
- Ability to participate in overtime activities as required.
