Social Media Professional & Executive Assistant to the CEO

Job Summary: In this dual role, the Social Media Professional & Executive Assistant will manage the CEO's online presence, craft engaging content, and implement effective strategies to enhance our digital footprint while also providing high-level executive support. The ideal candidate will be a proactive multitasker with exceptional communication skills, a flair for creativity, and an understanding of brand management. This role will be part-time, however this will vary during busier periods.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
- Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement across platforms (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.).
- Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) that aligns with the CEO's voice and brand.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on social media metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Engage with followers and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner, fostering a strong online community.
- Stay updated on current trends, tools, and best practices in social media and digital marketing.
Executive Assistant Duties:
- Manage the CEO's calendar, including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and organizing events.
- Prepare and organize materials for meetings, including agendas, presentations, and follow-up items.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications for the CEO.
- Assist in project management and handle special projects as directed by the CEO.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in social media management and/or executive assistance.
- Proficient in social media platforms and scheduling/analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Previous experience supporting a C-suite executive is a plus.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically about social media content and engagement.
