Alison Gray Recruitment are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our well-established client in Mallusk.
Role Purpose: The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the storage and warehouse facility. This role oversees day-to-day warehouse activities, stock handling, product integrity, inventory control, and team supervision to ensure contractual, operational, and quality standards are met. The position acts as the first-line leader onsite, supporting both the Operations Manager and Contract Manager in delivering operational KPIs and service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations: receiving, storage, handling, relabelling, pallet rebuilding and dispatch
- Maintain product quality, hygiene and contamination-control standards
- Plan and allocate labour, equipment and resources to meet targets
- Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate stock records and batch traceability
- Manage cycle counts, reconciliations and contractual reporting
- Ensure correct and compliant inbound/outbound documentation
- Uphold HACCP, GMP, food safety and industry standards
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental policies
- Lead incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
- Support customer, regulatory and certification audit
- Supervise warehouse operatives, contractors and forklift drivers
- Provide coaching, feedback and support training needs
- Manage staffing levels, shift patterns and absenteeism
Essential:
- Proven experience in warehouse or logistics supervision.
- Experience handling food, powdered goods, or similar regulated products.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Competent with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Valid forklift licence (or ability to obtain).
Desirable:
- Experience within dairy, food manufacturing, or bulk storage environments.
- IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent safety training.
- Knowledge of export requirements, sampling, or quality testing processes.
Hours & Salary:
- Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm
- £29k per annum
- Weekend overtime is 1.5 times salary with guaranteed minimum hours paid
- 28 days holidays including public holidays and site closure days
- Forktruck, Reach truck and Inverter training provided at no cost
