Alison Gray Recruitment are recruiting for a Technical Assistant to join our expanding client in Antrim. As Technical Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our quality and compliance operations—ensuring the certifications are up to date, our audits run smoothly, and our technical documentation is accurate and aligned with industry standards.
- Pay: £25,500 PA
- Location: Antrim
- Hours: Monday – Friday (35 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead supplier approval processes and maintain up-to-date documentation
- Manage product specifications for accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Maintain certifications including Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, SALSA, AVA, SEDEX, Vegan Society, and more
- Ensure full compliance with Trading Standards and food safety regulations
- Support and uphold Food Safety, HACCP, TACCP, and Quality Management Systems
- Contribute to the development and refinement of our Quality Management System
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
Experience
- Proven experience in food manufacturing, production, or a technical/quality role
- Solid understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, TACCP, VACCP)
- Familiarity with key certification schemes (SALSA, Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, AVA, Vegan Society, SEDEX)
- Strong grasp of regulatory compliance and food labelling requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively across teams and with external partners
