Alison Gray Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting Mechanics to join a well-established tyre company in Derry/Londonderry.
Pay: £15.50 per hour, plus a guaranteed commission structure based on the work you complete, after 12 weeks
Hours: Monday to Friday 9 to 5:30 & Saturday 9:00 to 1:00, after 12 weeks you will have 1 Saturday off per month
Responsibilities:
- Carry out light vehicle servicing and safety checks
- Replace and fit brakes, suspension components, and exhaust systems
- Perform tyre fitting, balancing, and puncture repairs
- Test vehicles after repair to ensure work meets required standards
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
Skills:
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in light vehicle servicing (3 years)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy workshop
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for vehicle repair tasks
- Ability to diagnose and resolve common mechanical issues accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and customers
