Our client, based in Portadown, is seeking Nightshift Process Plant Operators for their recycling plant. You will be responsible for processing operations within the waste plant.
Must have one either telehandler, shovel licence or digger licence. Previous experience operating manufacturing plant equipment is required.
Location: Portadown
Hourly Rate: £16.79 PH + 15% uplift from 11pm - 6am
Hours: Monday - Friday 9pm - 6am (nightshift)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prioritise tasks to ensure maximum plant utilisation.
- Ensure all equipment is kept in good condition and stored correctly.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on plant equipment as required in a timely manner.
- Liaise closely with other shifts and Manager to ensure all outstanding issues are addressed.
- Work closely with the Manager to report on progress and highlight potential issues.
- Ensure all work undertaken is done so in accordance with the company policy and in a safe manner, in line with Health and Safety guidelines.
- Loading and unloading of material, as and when required.
- Operating various machines on site to include mobile machinery such as forklifts and Loading Shovels.
- Responsibility to ensure departmental housekeeping is of a high standard.
- Monitoring computerised plant controls and responding accordingly to faults.
- Quality Control, as required, to ensure effective process control and measurement.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required by Management.
- Contribute to the decision-making process regarding level of spares / equipment.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Telehandler licence is HIGHLY desirable.
- Must have one either telehandler, shovel licence or digger licence.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
