We are seeking a dynamic and experiencedCivil Sales Manager to lead the Civil Sales team, drive business growth, and help achieve ambitious sales and gross profit targets.
Overview
Role: Civil Sales Manager β lead the Civil Sales team, drive revenue, and support the achievement of targets in the civil engineering and construction materials sector.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales performance and meet revenue targets in the civil engineering and construction materials sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand market share
- Collaborate with internal teams and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction
- Provide accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects to support competitive tenders
- Lead the bid and tendering process, ensuring alignment with client needs and company standards
- Support business development by identifying market trends and strategic opportunities
- Maintain expert knowledge of civil engineering products and solutions
- Prepare and deliver quotes, bids, and proposals in response to client inquiries
- Lead contract negotiations and ensure favourable terms
- Provide post-sale support and resolve client issues promptly
- Report regularly on sales performance, market insights, and forecasts
- Lead, motivate, and train the Civil Sales team to achieve goals
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing and reliable service
- Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
- Deputise for the Head of Sales & Marketing when required
Essential Criteria
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 yearsβ management experience leading sales teams
- Strong background in sales and estimating within civil engineering or construction
- Ability to read technical drawings and bar schedules
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
