Our client, based in Portadown is seeking a Machine Operator to join their busy Recycling Centre The successful candidate must have a valid license and experience of operating one of the following machines: Telescopic Forklift, Digger or Loading shovel Please be aware that you will be working in an environment with rubbish/recycling.
Shift Pattern: Week 1: Monday - Friday 6am to 3pm Week 2: Monday - Friday 2pm - 11pm (40hrs/week) Competitive Hourly Rate - Β£15.07 per hour Overtime rate available (Time & Half) JOB DESCRIPTION Operating various machines to include mobile machinery such as forklifts and Loading Shovels. Report immediately any issues with Machines to Supervisor / Operations Manager Ensure compliance with statutory and company obligations, & Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times.
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times Ensure all Machines on site comply with the relevant H&S standards and company standard operating procedures.
Ensuring the facility & its equipment is kept clean and tidy, with importance placed on housekeeping/cleaning throughout the shift (will include working at height) Any other duties as delegated by the MRF Supervisor / Operations Manager. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Must have a valid license and experience of operating one of the following machines: Telescopic Forklift, Counterbalance Forklift or Loading shovel Good organisational skills Good communication skills both written and verbal Ability to work well on own initiative Be self-motivated Ability to work well with others To apply, please forward your CV for consideration.
