ALink Recruitment are working with an engineering consultancy that are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical support to a rail consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and check electrical designs and engineering deliverables.
- Provide senior-level technical advice and guidance.
- Respond to technical queries and help resolve unusual or complex electrical engineering issues.
- Review designs for compliance with relevant Tf L, rail and electrical engineering standards.
- Provide input on LV distribution, lighting and controls, cable management, earthing & bonding and associated electrical systems.
- Liaise directly with clients and confidently explain or defend technical decisions.
- Provide pragmatic solutions where engineering or design issues arise.
- Support projects as required, with workload varying depending on client and project demands.
Experience Required
- Strong background in electrical engineering within the UK rail industry.
- Extensive Tf L experience and knowledge.
- Strong understanding of Tf L engineering standards, specifications and processes, including Tf L Pathway.
- Ability to independently review, interrogate and challenge electrical designs.
- Broad technical knowledge across rail/building-services electrical systems.
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients and answering technical queries.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ideally Chartered or working at an equivalent senior/technical authority level
