We are seeking a skilled uPVC window and door fabricator and welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in welding and fabrication, with specific focus on uPVC products. Duties
- Fabricate uPVC windows and doors according to technical manuals, drawings and specifications
- Perform uPVC welding on profiles, ensuring strong, durable joints
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised cutting, welding and machining equipment, to assemble materials for a finished product
- Conduct quality checks on fabricated parts to meet safety and quality standards
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines efficiently
Experience
- Proven experience in uPVC welding and machinery
- Strong background in uPVC fabrication involving metal and plastic components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly processes and material handling
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks
- Previous experience working with uPVC fabrication is desired
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
This role requires attention to detail, technical knowledge, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Candidates should be organised, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with an opportunity to head a department and lead a small team. Pay: £14.00-£16.50 per hour
