We are searching for a Parts & Aftersales advisor to join a growing team at a reputable garden machinery distribution company based in Swindon. This role will start following a successful interview. For the successful candidate in this field, there are progression opportunities within the department. This role will suit candidates looking for a new career path with previous experience in customer service/parts advising. Full training is provided in this position. A technical background in small engines, lawn equipment or mechanics is preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers over the phone and online with parts inquiries.
- Identify and recommend the correct parts based on customer needs.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance.
- Upsell additional products and services when appropriate.
- Handle customer complaints and returns professionally.
- Prepare invoices, quotes, and purchase orders.
- Coordinate with suppliers and service technicians for part orders.
Requirements:
- Experience in lawnmower, garden machinery, or automotive parts sales (preferred/not essential).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to use parts lookup software and online catalogues.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Pay and Hours:
Monday to Friday working alternating shifts. Week 1 β 08:00-16:30, Week 2 08:30-17:00.
