Our client in Swindon are looking for a Team Manager to join their team in a growing 3PL distribution company. This role will require a 2 stage interview for successful applicants. This is a permanent contract for the successful candidate.
Key Duties:
- Lead day to day warehouse activity to meet customer service and productivity targets
- Manage, coach, and develop your team, including performance and attendance
- Plan rotas, allocate work, and make sure shift priorities are clear
- Monitor KPIs including pick rates, loading and unloading, and stock accuracy, and take action to improve results
- Make sure SOPs are followed and update processes where needed
- Drive continuous improvement and support lean ways of working
- Run daily shift briefings and keep communication clear across the team
- Maintain a safe, compliant working environment and support audits and inspections
- Control costs within budget and use labour and equipment efficiently
- Identify and escalate quality issues, ensuring checks and records are completed on time
Job Requirements:
- 5 years plus experience in warehouse or logistics operations, ideally within 3PL
- Proven people management experience including performance, absence, training, and development
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse compliance, health and safety, and basic HR legislation
- Confident using WMS and warehouse reporting to manage productivity and stock accuracy
- Experience running a busy operation including goods in, picking, packing, despatch, and inventory control
- Strong KPI focus with experience improving pick rates, accuracy, and throughput
- Budget and cost control experience including labour planning and resource use
- Clear communicator who can lead shift briefs and work well with other departments and customers
- Organised and able to manage changing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Willing to support other sites when required
Pay: £42,000 per Anum
Shifts: Monday to Friday 06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00
