Day Shift Operations – Exports
Location: Colnbrook | 7am – 7pm | 4 on / 4 off | Temporary to Permanent

About the Role:
Reporting to the Export Manager, you’ll be a vital part of the export operation, handling time-sensitive shipments such as AOG (Aircraft on Ground) and other urgent cargo. You’ll arrange export shipments by air and road based on customer requests, prepare and collate export documentation, and manage customs formalities. Your role will involve liaising with airlines, coordinating transport, and providing detailed shipment reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing AOG and other priority shipments
Preparing Air Waybills (AWBs) accurately and ensuring correct rating per IATA and airline regulations
Handling customs documentation including IPR, OPR, and export licence entries
Sending pre-alerts and post-flight updates to customers
Preparing quotations and assisting with crosstrade movements
Ensuring compliance with security and operational procedures
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with AOG shipments within an export or freight forwarding department
Aerospace or aircraft parts shipping background is advantageous
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable, with excellent timekeeping and attendance
Computer literate, proficient with Microsoft Office
Willingness to provide holiday cover for opposite shifts
Own transport preferred due to limited public transport options
Qualifications and Skills:
Educated to GCSE or A-level standard
Multilingual skills are a plus
Good command of written and spoken English
Minimum Security Cargo Operator training
Forklift licence preferred
Experience with Boxtop, e-Customs/CDS systems desirable
