About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our client's warehouse operations. This role will involve a variety of tasks, including picking, packing, goods in, unloading/loading, and labelling boxes. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy in all aspects of your work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking: Accurately pick items from designated locations based on pick lists and ensure they are ready for packing. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure the correct items are selected.
  • Packing: Safely and securely pack items into appropriate packaging materials, following specific guidelines to prevent damage during transit. Quality control is essential to ensure only the best products reach our customers.
  • Goods In: Receive incoming goods, check the quality and accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders, and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel. Accurate recording of goods received is essential for inventory management.
  • Unloading/Loading: Assist with the unloading and loading of delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are handled with care and stored in the appropriate locations within the warehouse. Physical fitness is important for this role, as lifting and moving heavy items may be required.
  • Labelling: Apply correct labels to packages, ensuring accurate and clear identification for efficient sorting and delivery. Attention to detail is vital to avoid any confusion or misplacement of items.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, tidy, and organized at all times. This includes sweeping, removing debris, and disposing of waste materials according to company protocols.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate protective equipment and following safe working practices. Report any potential hazards or near misses to the relevant personnel.
