The role

Working closely with the Yard Manager, you’ll support safe and efficient yard operations including:

  • Assisting with daily running of the site and managing staff cover
  • Acting as authorised Key Holder and responsible for site security when required
  • Leading and developing yard supervisors and operatives
  • Promoting health, safety and continuous improvement
  • Carrying out risk assessments and maintaining high standards of housekeeping

Pay

  • From £40,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday
  • Optional Saturday Overtime available

About you

  • Valid Forklift and 360 Excavator licences
  • Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel between sites
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a yard, waste, recycling or logistics environment
  • Strong communication, decision-making and people-management skills
  • Practical, hands-on approach with a good understanding of health and safety
