We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers to join our client based in Basingstoke. This is a full-time, permanent position offering consistent work with a well-established logistics company.
As part of the role, you will be handling general haulage tasks, including the transportation of various goods to and from customer sites across the region. Candidates who may have previously worked for Tesco, Thames Water and Yusen Logistics may be interested in this position.
Pay:
- HGV Class 1: to per hour
- HGV Class 2: per hour
Shift Pattern:
- Day Shift, Afternoon Shift and Night Shifts Available.
- AD-HOC: 1 to 3 days work per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport goods to various locations, ensuring deliveries are made on time and safely.
- Handle general haulage tasks, including loading and unloading of goods, ensuring all items are secure.
- Complete vehicle checks before and after each shift to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all road safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Adhere to delivery schedules while ensuring all relevant documentation is completed accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or site staff during drop-offs and collections.
- Assist in planning routes to ensure efficient delivery of goods and minimize delays.
Requirements:
- Valid Full UK Driving Licence (HGV Class 1 – Category C+E)
- Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC Certification
- Minimum 6 months of HGV Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 points on your licence (No DD, DR, or IN endorsements)
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety and efficiency standards
