Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) HGVs on night trunking and general haulage routes
- Conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections, reporting defects promptly
- Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS and digital tachograph systems
- Complete up to 2–3 drops per shift, primarily depot‑to‑depot or trunking runs – No handball
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and ensure compliance with driving regulations
- Secure loads following health & safety best practices to ensure safe transport
- Deliver excellent customer service representing the company professionally at all times
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, UK CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 2 years’ experience driving Class 1 HGV vehicles
- Maximum 9 points on licence; no DR or IN endorsements permitted
- Comfortable working night shifts starting at 18:00
- Strong knowledge of EU driving hours, WTD regulations, and health & safety standards
- Good communication skills with a professional and reliable approach
