About The JobAt Alignerr, we partner with the world\âs leading AI research teams and labs to build and train cuttingâedge AI models. You\âll challenge advanced language models on environmental topics, documenting every failure mode so we can harden model reasoning.
What You\âll Do
Design complex environmental engineering problems across contaminant transport, mass balance in treatment plants, hydrology, and Life Cycle Assessments.
Create rigorous, stepâbyâstep technical solutionsâincluding chemical dosage calculations, hydraulic flow models, and pollutant dispersion simulationsâto serve as golden responses.
Evaluate AIâgenerated remediation plans, environmental impact statements, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance (e.g., EPA, ISO 14001).
Identify logical fallacies in AI reasoningâsuch as incorrect stoichiometry in biological processes or missing secondary environmental impactsâand provide structured feedback.
Requirements
Advanced degree (Master\âs or PhD) in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with an environmental focus, or a closely related field.
Strong foundational knowledge in aquatic chemistry, wastewater process design, air quality engineering, or hazardous waste remediation.
Excellent analytical writing and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
High attention to detail when checking unit conversions, chemical equations, and regulatory compliance logic.
No AI experience required.
Preferred
Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or evaluation systems.
