Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training)

We're looking for experienced infrastructure and network security practitioners to help shape the next generation of AI-driven security systems. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs β€” and your hands-on security expertise will directly influence how AI understands, reasons about, and responds to real-world threats.

This is a unique opportunity to apply your hard-won operational knowledge to frontier AI development, on your own schedule, from anywhere in the world.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Analyze realistic enterprise network, endpoint, and email security scenarios to evaluate how threats, controls, and failures interact in production environments
  • Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases β€” identifying what went wrong, why, and what the business impact is
  • Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures using structured frameworks based on real operational data
  • Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI models
  • Provide clear, expert-level explanations of root causes and remediation paths that AI systems can learn from

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in network security, infrastructure security, or endpoint security roles
  • Solid familiarity with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security gateways, IAM systems, and SIEMs
  • Deep understanding of how real enterprises deploy, operate, and fail at security controls
  • Able to clearly articulate security issues, root causes, and business risk β€” in writing
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with threat hunting, incident response, or red/blue team operations
  • Background in security architecture, cloud security, or zero-trust environments
  • Familiarity with AI systems, data labeling, or security research workflows

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI projects alongside top-tier AI research labs
  • Fully remote and asynchronous β€” work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance flexibility with meaningful, intellectually stimulating work
  • Contribute to AI systems that will shape the future of enterprise security
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
