A leading retail installation and fit-out contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team. The business delivers nationwide retail projects including checkout installations, display systems, bespoke fabrication, refrigeration, and full turnkey shopfitting solutions. This role is ideal for an estimator with strong technical knowledge across joinery, metalwork, interiors, or retail environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for retail fit-out, display systems, fabrication, and installation projects
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Price works from first principles across joinery, sheet metal, plastics, M&E, and multi-trade packages
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
  • Produce tender submissions, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation
  • Work closely with project managers, design teams, and manufacturing departments
  • Support commercial decisions on variations, value engineering, and project cost control
  • Build strong relationships with clients to support repeat business

Experience & Skills Required

  • Strong estimating background within retail fit-out, shopfitting, joinery, fabrication, or specialist manufacturing
  • Ability to price bespoke items and high-volume repeat projects
  • Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of supply & fix / fix-only packages
  • Confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications
