We are looking for a commercially driven and analytical Merchandiser to join our growing team. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of trading, forecasting, stock management, and product lifecycle performance.
Working closely with Product, Marketing, Brand, and Operations teams, you will play a key role in driving sales, optimising stock flow, and identifying commercial opportunities across the business. The ideal candidate is highly organised, proactive, detail-oriented, and confident using data and insights to influence decision‑making.
Trading & Performance
- Own weekly trading performance and identify risks/opportunities
- Drive sales and margin through proactive trading initiatives
- Analyse product performance (WSSI, sell‑through, stock cover, etc.)
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Brand teams to optimise trade
Reporting & Analysis
- Produce and present weekly trade reports with actionable insights
- Monitor KPIs including sales, margin, stock turn, and intake vs plan
- Provide ad hoc analysis to support commercial decision‑making
- Recommend and execute pricing, promotional, and markdown strategies to optimise
Stock Management
- Manage stock intake, allocation, and replenishment
- Ensure optimal stock levels to maximise availability and minimise markdown
- Oversee stock movements across channels (online/store/warehouse)
- Own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle from initial intake through to exit strategy
- Monitor product performance at each stage (launch, growth, maturity, decline)
Forecasting & Planning
- Develop and maintain accurate sales and stock forecasts
- Support range planning and OTB (Open‑to‑Buy) management
- Review and reforecast in line with trade performance
Team Management
- Line manage and develop one direct report (Merch Ops)
- Support workload prioritisation and professional development
- Foster a high‑performance, collaborative team environment
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product team on range performance and lifecycle
- Partner with Marketing on campaigns, promotions, and launches
