We are recruiting on behalf of a high-growth consumer and data-led technology business operating across two complementary brands, who are building out their Growth function and hiring their first senior creative hire. This is a rare opportunity to build a creative function from scratch, with real ownership across performance, product, lifecycle, and go-to-market creative — and a clear path to senior leadership.

The Creative Strategy Lead will own creative strategy and execution across paid media, product marketing, lifecycle, and GTM, working closely with Growth, Product, and Commercial teams. This is a hybrid role combining hands-on creative execution in the early phase with longer-term responsibility for shaping and scaling a creative team. The successful candidate will help define creative standards, testing frameworks, and team structure as the business grows. From day one, there is budget for additional creative hires and freelancers — but the focus is on building the function properly, not inheriting something half-formed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning creative strategy across paid social, lifecycle, product marketing, and GTM
  • Turning customer insight and performance data into clear creative priorities
  • Developing and testing ad concepts, hooks, scripts, and formats across paid media
  • Building structured, fast-moving creative testing frameworks
  • Leading early-stage hands-on creative execution (briefs, concepts, rough drafts)
  • Working with freelancers and agencies to ship high-quality creative quickly
  • Setting the creative quality bar and ensuring consistency across channels
  • Partnering with Growth, Product, and Lifecycle teams on messaging and creative direction
  • Helping define, hire, and scale the in-house creative team over time

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in creative strategy or performance creative in fast-paced environments
  • Strong understanding of paid social, particularly Meta
  • Proven ability to use performance data and customer insight to guide creative decisions
  • Comfortable being hands-on early and leading later
  • Experience working with freelancers or agencies
  • Strong creative judgement and the ability to articulate rationale clearly
  • Curious, collaborative, and commercially minded
  • Actively using AI to support ideation, testing, or production
  • Thrives in experimentation-led, high-growth environments
