The Opportunity
Our client is a global S&P 500 corporate payments company that helps organisations simplify complex payment workflows and international fund movements. With solutions spanning cross-border payments, multi-currency accounts, FX & hedging, they help clients gain control, visibility, and efficiency in how they move money worldwide.
Within their Private Markets team, they support alternative investment managers, fund administrators, service providers, GPs, portfolio companies and investors with reliable, institutional-level payment and FX solutions. They help clients manage risk, improve liquidity, and handle complex international transactions with confidence.
The Role
Titled internally as a Portfolio Manager, this is a 360 outbound sales role that is perfectly suited to someone who is driven with a hunter mentality. The more specifics include:
- Researching and qualifying potential clients to build a database of leads.
- You will own the telephone, using it to engage and consult with C-level executives within the private markets space. Cold calling will be your primary and preferred method of engaging opportunities.
- Growing your portfolio from the ground up - it's your business within their business, so you have autonomy to grow and nurture relationships with your clients.
- Understanding their businesses so you can explore and uncover key problems and challenges, whilst educating them on a diverse range of solutions.
- In time, you will learn how to deal independently for your portfolio of clients on the largest traded market in the world.
What We're Looking For
- 1β3 yearsβ experience in outbound or B2B sales preferred but not essential.
- Skills that are personal and can't be taught - drive, ambition, resilience.
- Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and building strong working relationships.
- Clear, confident communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Background in financial services, fintech, or payments is helpful, but again not essential.
