What you’ll be doing
- Your role will involve planning, designing, and managing electrical systems for buildings.
- You will produce design calculations, create detailed CAD drawings, carry out building surveys, write technical reports, and conduct risk assessments.
- You will work with a multidisciplinary team from concept to completion, gaining hands‑on experience in project management and teamwork.
What we are looking for
- Meets UCAS point requirements for the associated degree course.
- Achieved or predicted A Level grades BBC (or equivalent); some programmes allow BBB Grade C or higher at A level in Maths.
- Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grades A–C) including Maths, English, and Science.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- UK driving licence or actively working towards one.
About the Qualification
You will start your Degree Apprenticeship in September 2026, attending a local university one day a week while working towards a full undergraduate degree in building services engineering. The apprenticeship lasts 5–6 years and includes induction, training days, on‑job learning, and access to resources.
