Alice Rose Recruitment is recruiting for an Air Conditioning Engineer to join the on-site engineering team at a prestigious commercial building in Shoreditch. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Building Services provider, working on a modern commercial site with exposure to a wide range of HVAC equipment. The business is also an LG-approved contractor, offering manufacturer training and ongoing technical development.

The Role

Working as part of an established engineering team, you’ll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and fault finding across the site’s air conditioning and HVAC systems, ensuring the building operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
  • Attend reactive breakdowns and fault finding
  • Service, maintain and repair commercial air conditioning systems
  • Work on VRV, VRF, split and multi-split systems
  • Maintain AHUs and associated HVAC equipment
  • Carry out basic chiller maintenance
  • Complete maintenance reports and logbooks
  • Escort specialist subcontractors when required
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 or above in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
  • Valid F-Gas Certification
  • Experience working on commercial HVAC systems
  • Strong knowledge of VRV, VRF, AHUs, split and multi-split systems
  • Experience within Building Services, Facilities Management or commercial maintenance
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach
  • 17th or 18th Edition is advantageous but not essential
