Role
As a Process Engineer, you\’ll be at the heart of our manufacturing operations – optimising processes, improving efficiency, and driving innovation across extrusion, fabrication, and compounding. You\’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver technical excellence and lead projects that enhance performance and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Understand and analyse process variables to improve product characteristics
- Optimise manufacturing parameters from raw material to final packaging
- Lead troubleshooting and implement solutions to reduce downtime and scrap
- Define SOPs and best practices for extrusion line setup and shutdown
- Support and develop Shift Technicians, providing clear technical guidance
- Own and deliver improvement projects aligned with key KPIs (OEE, Scrap, Overweight)
- Collaborate with HSE, Quality, CI, Engineering, and Maintenance teams
- Stay ahead of industry trends and introduce new technologies
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of polymers and extrusion processes
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with CI methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, Ishikawa)
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels
- Project management capability and a proactive mindset
- IT proficiency (Microsoft Suite essential; Power BI and advanced Excel a plus)
- Open to change and passionate about continuous improvement
