We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a double-day shift pattern. In this role, you will carry out maintenance and installation of engineering services, plant, and equipment within a manufacturing environment. You'll play a key part in ensuring equipment effectiveness and availability, supporting our production teams to achieve performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company EHS policies.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Kaizen events.
- Participate in planned maintenance shutdowns and major repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of interventions and maintenance history.
- Provide operational cover for shift engineers when required.
What We're Looking For
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills with experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot engineering systems.
- Knowledge of CMMS platforms and lean manufacturing principles.
- Completed mechanical or electrical apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) or equivalent.
- HNC/HND qualification desirable.
- Experience with plastic extrusion or injection moulding is a plus.
- IPAF & FLT training desirable.
