This role is responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities while managing engineering stores and spare parts to ensure efficient delivery of maintenance work with minimal downtime. You’ll support the Engineering function through effective CMMS and ERP system management, strong coordination of parts, permits and documentation, and clear reporting to drive reliability, cost control and operational performance.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate and support SSOWs, Risk Assessments, SOPs and COSHH reviews.
- Manage contractor permits, inductions, RAMS and compliance records.
- Maintain engineering stores in line with 5S standards.
- Receive, store and control engineering materials and spares, including stock checks and audits.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate preventive and reactive maintenance activities.
- Ensure engineers receive job sheets promptly and are fully prepared with parts, tools and documentation.
- Procure spare parts and tools, identify competitive suppliers and track purchase orders.
- Maintain CMMS accuracy, tracking maintenance schedules, backlog and spares.
- Track engineering spend, support budget control and produce weekly and monthly reports.
- Support shutdown planning and assist the Engineering Maintenance Manager with project coordination.
About You
- Experience in maintenance planning and/or engineering stores management.
- Familiarity with CMMS and ERP systems (e.g. Holistic, SAP or similar).
- Good understanding of engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and coordinate effectively.
- Confident IT skills (Excel, Office 365, Power BI).
- Mechanical background and ability to read engineering drawings (desirable).
- Proactive, detail-focused and able to work with a range of stakeholders.
