The Opportunity/Role
Extrusion Operator to work in our growing manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring products are produced and packaged in accordance with the production programme and safe Systems of Work. Other responsibilities will include:
- To be responsible for conducting yourself in a safe manner
- Produce the required product, using coiler, stillage and saw operations
- To monitor and record product quality, using micrometre, PI. Tapes, verniers and documentation
- Maintain product quality by stopping and restarting line as required
- Keep supervision informed of equipment and product quality related issues
- Complete FLT and crane operations as required, to expedite product despatch
- Carry out product change overs, including tooling, material, lead tube and line equipment
- Carry out start-ups on product change overs
- Be part of the production team, covering meal breaks, maintaining maximum machine efficiency
Shift & Pay
12 hour Panama shift pattern (inclusive of 12 hours day and night shifts)
Starting from: £36,067 per annum (inc shift premium)
Attendance bonus: £300 per quarter
Requirements
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment- Extrusion preferred.
- Technical understanding would be an advantage
- Ability to set and work to priorities
- Self-disciplined with the ability to set and maintain high standards
- Motivated to create a safe environment
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to work effectively and build relationships in a team environment
