Senior Civil Engineer in Leeds

Location: Flexible hybrid working from Cork or Dublin.

As a Senior Project Engineer - Water, you’ll lead and deliver wastewater and water treatment & distribution design packages across diverse sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and public infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead water and wastewater design and technical delivery across project stages
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and technicians
• Prepare and review calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and engineering reports
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards, and project requirements
• Oversee project timelines, team resources, and deliverables
• Contribute to proposals, bids, and business development activities
• Uphold quality, safety, and sustainability standards throughout

Qualifications:

Essential qualifications & experience:

• Degree and/or Master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Chartered with ICE/IStructE (or working toward) or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the design and contract administration of water distribution systems, including water treatment, in the UK or Ireland
• Considerable proven experience in the design of wastewater collector systems, pumped systems and wastewater treatment
• Knowledge of Public Works Contracts, FIDIC, local legislation and its application; knowledge of telemetry/SCADA systems would be an advantage
• Effective communicator and team leader, able to manage multiple priorities
