As a Junior Track Engineer at Ayesa, you will be working to help us deliver quality engineering services on some of the largest rail infrastructure projects. Using your technical expertise, you will produce track alignment designs, undertake gauging assessments, produce fully integrated and BIM compliant CAD models and drawings, and author technical reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce track alignment designs and associated deliverables, such as drawings and models, reports, gauging assessments, etc.
  • Undertake integration checks on external design elements, such as S&C, expansion devices, track slabs, etc.
  • Contribute to technical reports, hazard risk register, design management plans, and other documents as required.
  • Attend IDC’s / IDR’s and other meetings with internal and external designers.
  • Complete assurance related activities as directed by company procedures, industry standards, or client requirements.
  • Undertake on-site surveys / provide on-site construction support as required.
RequirementsEssential Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in Track Engineering.
  • Degree, or higher education qualification, in relevant Civil Engineering discipline, and/or professional registration to a relevant technical body.
  • Proven experience of delivering track design packages from outline design to detailed design.
  • Strong working knowledge of track design software, such as BRT, OpenRail, ClearRoute 2.
  • Strong understanding of CAD and BIM requirements.
  • Knowledge of rail componentry and wider rail system engineering.
  • Experience of working on S&C designs, slab track designs, large-scale projects or high-speed rail.
  • Experience of attending site visits and undertaking on-site checks and surveys.
