We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Store / Butchery Manager to join our team in our store. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the town’s fastest growing business, responsible for overseeing the operations of the butchery department in a retail store. This position involves managing the store and team, ensuring the highest quality of meat products and grocers, exceptional customer service, and efficient daily operations. Manage grocery & meat section and managing online sales and delivery, your role is to maintain the shop’s reputation and drive its success.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and motivate a team of butchers, ensuring they follow best practices in meat cutting, customer service, and food safety.
  • Assign tasks, establish work schedules, and manage staffing levels to meet business demands.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation, meat cutting, and presentation of various meat products, ensuring consistency, quality, and accuracy.
  • Train staff in proper meat cutting techniques, portion control, and product knowledge.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with suppliers to maintain an adequate stock of fresh and quality meats.
  • Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their inquiries, and guiding them in meat selection and cooking methods.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional and satisfactory manner.
  • Enforce strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations and company policies.
  • Implement and oversee proper handling, storage, and disposal of meat products.
  • Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create attractive and appealing displays of meat products.
  • Ensure that display cases are clean, organized, and properly maintained to showcase the freshness and quality of products.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of all equipment, including knives, cutting tools, and machinery.
  • Report and address any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Assist in budgeting, cost control, and pricing strategies to optimize profitability.
  • Monitor sales, analyze trends, and make informed recommendations to improve product offerings and sales performance.

Skills Required
