We are recruiting legal staff with all areas of experience in Asylum and Immigration law from second year trainee onwards, to fill multiple positions. We offer a competitive salary with a review after 6 months.
The ideal candidates will have experience of Advice and Assistance legal aid. As an asylum and immigration solicitor, you will be working alongside colleagues who have a range of skills and experience. The workload is varied, with cases across the spectrum of asylum and immigration work.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a positive attitude and flexible approach towards the implementation of new processes.
- Managing own caseload of asylum and immigration matters
- Attending and appearing at Immigration Tribunal hearings and instructing counsel in the Court of Session
- Any level of experience in asylum and immigration law
- Understanding of the appropriate legal procedures and processes
- Experience in pursuing all types of asylum and immigration matters from start to finish
- Tribunal advocacy experience
