Head of Finance in Saint Neots

Head of Finance - St Neots (Cambs) - Attractive salary ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Head of Finance / Finance Lead, for our client who continue to grow their client base and dominate their market. This is a hands-on, standalone role for an experienced and commercially-minded finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and helping build a growing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for: * Running the day-to-day finance function, including bookkeeping oversight, ledgers and financial controls * Producing month-end accounts, management reporting and forecasting * Driving process improvements, efficiencies, automation and improvements in data quality * Supporting acquisitions, investments and strategic growth initiatives * Working closely with their portfolio businesses, helping support financial visibility, performance improvement and informed decision-making across the wider group * Helping turn financial information into meaningful commercial insight and decision-making * Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow and overall business performance Ideal Candidate * Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) * Hands-on and willing to roll their sleeves up * Commercially minded and able to understand the story behind the numbers * Comfortable operating across both day-to-day finance and strategic initiatives * Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment * Looking for a role with genuine ownership, responsibility and scope to grow Our client is looking for someone who is just as comfortable posting a journal as they are challenging assumptions, improving reporting and helping drive better business decisions.
