ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Data Analyst for our client who lead their industry and are based in Boston, Lincolnshire.

We're looking for a Data Analyst to join our client's team and help turn data from across the business into clear, actionable insight. You'll work closely with operations, sales and finance to pull data from our ERP, CRM and other core systems, clean and transform it, and build dashboards and reports that support day-to-day decision-making. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of messy data and turning it into something people can actually use.

Responsibilities

  • Extracting data from our ERP, CRM and other business systems
  • Cleaning, transforming and validating data to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Designing and building dashboards and reports for different teams across the business
  • Writing and optimising SQL queries to pull and manipulate data from multiple sources
  • Identifying trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement through data analysis
  • Working with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into practical solutions
  • Maintaining and improving existing reports and data models over time

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of SQL (writing queries, joins, aggregations)
  • Experience with a data visualisation tool such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik
  • Power BI and DAX experience preferred
  • Experience extracting and working with data from ERP and/or CRM systems
  • Comfortable cleaning and transforming raw, imperfect data
  • Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain data findings to non-technical colleagues

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Power Query / ETL tools
  • Familiarity with Excel (advanced formulas, Power Pivot)
  • API knowledge
