Field-based Electrician / Solar Panel Fitter - Kings Lynn - £45,000 / £53,000

ALH Recruitment are looking for an Electrical Solar Panel Fitter to join our client's growing team with immediate effect, based in Kings Lynn. Are you a strong field-based electrician and panel fitter? If so, this could be a great opportunity to form part of our client's installation teams for residential solar installation projects across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and surrounding areas in East Anglia.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be working closely together to deliver high-quality solar PV and battery installations, electrical work, and related energy efficiency measures. You’ll be trusted to manage your own schedule, represent the company on-site, and deliver high-quality installations.

  • Electrician
    • Installing and wiring residential solar PV systems, signing off work to meet BS7671 wiring regulations and MCS installation standards
    • Configure and troubleshoot DC and AC circuits, ensuring full system functionality
    • Liaise with clients, project managers, and fellow installers to meet deadlines
    • Carrying out testing, certification, and ensuring safe electrical practices.
  • Panel Fitter
    • Assisting with solar PV panel, battery and EV installations on residential properties.
    • Supporting electricians with wiring, cable runs, and fuse board work.
    • Handling installation tasks on-site from start to finish
    • Connect panels to inverters and integrate with existing electrical systems

Skills required:

  • NVQ (or equivalent recognised by NIC), 18th Edition, and Testing & Inspection (2391).
  • Solar PV qualification essential; experience with heat pumps highly desirable.
  • Experience in renewables, ideally solar PV domestic installations.
