ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Bookkeeper with immediate effect for our industry leading client based in Peterborough.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office as well as all areas of accounts department including sales, purchase and general ledger, bank reconciliation and payroll.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual who can manage their own workload effectively and respond to competing demands. You will have excellent communication skills, strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver work to a very high standard. Experience of QuickBooks online will be advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Company’s accounts including processing purchase invoices and payments; bank reconciliation; sales invoices and receipts; credit control; VAT Returns; Year End
  • Run and manage payroll; including weekly and monthly pay runs, payments to HMRC.
  • Overseeing Company Administration
  • Administrative support to company directors
  • Maintain Office Filing System
  • Onboard new starters, draft and update company policies and procedures, support Directors with Disciplinary Matters
  • Reconciliation of purchase orders/delivery notes/invoices to ensure correct goods are received and correct pricing applied
  • Managing Company telephone, energy, utility contracts
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Experience of bookkeeping and general administration at a high level
  • Skills and experience using Microsoft Office software, accounts & payroll software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage own workload effectively and proactively
  • Ability to adapt to competing demands and meet deadlines
  • High level of Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team
