Tipper Driver - Bishops Stortford – 38,000 / 40,000
ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a skilled and reliable Tripper Driver with immediate effect for our client who continue to grow and dominate their market.
Start Date – Immediately
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage logistics effectively. The ideal applicant will have a background in commercial driving and possess mechanical knowledge to handle minor repairs and maintenance.
Duties
- Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition. .
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries,
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.
Requirements
- Valid HGV driving licence.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Willingness to work .
- A good understanding of logistics and route planning is advantageous.
