We see Developer Experience as a key element of our offering: we maintain high-quality SDKs for a dozen languages and platforms. We value Grit, Trust, Candor, Care and Humility. If you’re a problem solver, able to think outside the box and eager to nurture others and learn from them, then this is your challenge! Join Our Technical Program Management Team!

At Algolia, we believe that the key to successful engineering teams is seamless collaboration and exceptional program management. As part of our Technical Program Management (TPM) team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving engineering success from idea to execution. We're looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager who thrives on getting things done, managing complexity, and delivering results at scale. In this role, you will lead the planning, execution, and communication of complex technical programs, ensuring that milestones are met and that teams are aligned on both technical and business objectives. You will be the go-to person for cross-functional coordination and will have the autonomy to manage risks, dependencies, and communication with stakeholders at all levels.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Technical Strategy & Execution: Use your technical expertise to partner with engineering leads, product managers, and other stakeholders to define, plan, and execute engineering initiatives on time.
  • Drive Program Success: Break down OKRs into actionable milestones, ensuring that risks, blockers, and delays are proactively managed to keep the team on track.
  • Optimise Cross-Functional Collaboration: Own the coordination of cross-functional dependencies, ensuring smooth execution across engineering, product, and other teams. Adapt the scope, schedule, and resources as needed to deliver on goals.
  • Shape Technical Solutions: Identify gaps in proposed solutions, contribute to technical discussions, and help make key decisions on product vs. technical trade-offs to ensure we’re solving the right problems with the best approach.

You might be a fit if you have:

  • A strong track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects from concept through delivery, with an ability to adapt to change quickly.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and the ability to navigate between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proven skills in data analysis and reporting, helping stakeholders make informed decisions and track progress.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and clearly articulate business impact.
  • Experience in high-growth, scaling organisations (preferably with 10,000+ customers and an ARR range of $50-200M) where change is constant and infrastructure is evolving.

We’re looking for someone who can live our values:

  • GRIT: Problem-solving and perseverance capability in an ever-changing and growing environment.
  • TRUST: Willingness to trust our co-workers and to take ownership.
  • CANDOR: Ability to receive and give constructive feedback.
  • CARE: Genuine care about other team members, our clients, and the decisions we make in the company.
  • HUMILITY: Aptitude for learning from others, putting ego aside.

FLEXIBLE WORKPLACE STRATEGY: Algolia’s flexible workplace model is designed to empower all Algolians to fulfil our mission to power search and discovery with ease. We place an emphasis on an individual’s impact, contribution, and output, over their physical location. Algolia is a high-trust environment and many of our team members have the autonomy to choose where they want to work and when. While we have a global presence with physical offices in Paris, NYC, London, Sydney and Bucharest, we also offer many of our team members the option to work remotely either as fully remote or hybrid-remote employees.

ABOUT US: Algolia prides itself on being a pioneer and market leader offering an AI Search solution that empowers 17,000+ businesses to compose customer experiences at internet scale that predict what their users want with blazing fast search and web browse experience. Algolia powers more than 30 billion search requests a week – four times more than Microsoft Bing, Yahoo, Baidu, Yandex and DuckDuckGo combined. Algolia is part of a cadre of innovative new companies that are driving the next generation of software development, creating APIs that make developers’ lives easier; solutions that are better than building from scratch and better than having to tweak monolithic SaaS solutions.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR: We’re looking for talented, passionate people to build the world’s best search & discovery technology. As an ownership-driven company, we seek team members who thrive within an environment based on autonomy and diversity. We're committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace. We care about each other and the world around us, and embrace talented people regardless of their race, age, ancestry, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, color, veteran status, disability and socioeconomic background.
