At Algolia, we’re proud to be a pioneer and market leader in AI Search, empowering 17,000+ businesses to deliver blazing-fast, predictive search and browse experiences at internet scale. Every week, we power over 30 billion search requests — four times more than Microsoft Bing, Yahoo, Baidu, Yandex, and DuckDuckGo combined. In 2021, we raised $150 million in Series D funding, quadrupling our valuation to $2.25 billion. This strong foundation enables us to keep investing in our market-leading platform and serving incredible customers like Under Armour, PetSmart, Stripe, Gymshark, and Walgreens.

The Mission

Own the product vision, strategy, and execution for Algolia’s data collection and transformation capabilities within the Data Platform. Your mission is to empower every business to unlock the full potential of their product and record/catalog data for exceptional AI search and agentic experiences. You will focus on foundational data systems that ensure high-quality, well-structured data flows into Algolia so that it can be efficiently leveraged by our search, AI, and analytics products.

You will own and scale two core pillars:

  • Data Transformation Platform: Design and evolve capabilities that convert raw, heterogeneous data (e.g., JSON, CSV, databases, APIs, 3rd-party systems) into optimised, Algolia-ready formats. Drive schema alignment, normalisation, and mapping so customers can quickly make their data searchable and usable. Partner with Connector and Data Platform teams to provide seamless end-to-end ingestion + transformation workflows.
  • Data Quality & Platform Services: Establish and evolve data quality standards for accuracy, completeness, and consistency across records. Partner with engineering to build scalable APIs, services, and UIs (e.g., pipeline monitoring) that make data capabilities easy to adopt. Define platform metrics and instrumentation that demonstrate business impact, such as integration time, error rates, and enrichment coverage.

The Opportunity

This is a senior individual contributor product role at the core of Algolia’s Data Platform. You will own a critical product area—Data Connectors and Transformations—while working closely with other PMs across Enrichment, Events, and AI.

You will:

  • Shape how customers prepare data for AI search and agentic experiences.
  • Directly impact onboarding speed, data quality, retrieval, relevance, and platform adoption.
  • Operate with high autonomy in a flat organisational model, influencing strategy across teams without direct people management responsibilities.

What you’ll be doing

Own Product Strategy & Roadmap for Data Collection & Transformations:

  • Define and execute the strategy and roadmap for data collection and transformation and capabilities within the Data Platform.
  • Identify and prioritise platform capabilities that unlock the most value for customers and internal teams.
  • Translate business and customer problems into clear product requirements and implementation milestones.

Deliver Measurable Outcomes, Not Just Features:

  • Drive outcomes such as:
    • Reduced data integration and onboarding time for customers.
    • Improved record data quality, completeness, and consistency.
    • Increased adoption of transformation features by customers and internal teams.
    • Higher satisfaction with data management and AI readiness.
  • Define and track success metrics, experiments, and rollouts to validate impact.

Partner Across the Data & AI Platform:

  • Collaborate with:
    • Connector Platform teams to ensure transformed data can be easily ingested from diverse systems.
    • AI Search & Agentic teams so that transformed data and signals are leveraged in ranking, retrieval, and agents.
    • Infrastructure & Platform teams to meet scale, latency, and cost targets for data processing.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on record data collection and transformation and capabilities.

Support Integrations & Go-to-Market:

  • Work with GTM, Professional Services, and partner teams to improve data quality and onboarding workflows.
  • Contribute to documentation, partner connector requirements, and best-practice guides for transforming and enriching data.
  • Support strategic customers and partners in designing pipelines that get them to value faster.

Operate with High Rigor and Clarity:

  • Maintain high-quality product artifacts (roadmaps, PR/FAQs, CPR updates, WBR metrics) for your product area.
  • Communicate trade-offs, decisions, and progress clearly to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Bring structure and clarity to complex data problems and align diverse teams around a coherent plan.

What we are looking for:

  • Senior Product Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, data platforms, or developer products. Demonstrated ability to own and grow a technical product area end-to-end as an individual contributor.
  • Data Platform Expertise: Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation, schema design/alignment, and data quality systems. Familiarity with event tracking, ingestion frameworks, and data modeling for search, analytics, or ML. Experience with APIs, connectors, and data tooling in developer-first or platform environments.
  • Product & Platform Ownership: Track record of defining vision, KPIs, and roadmap for a complex technical product area. Comfortable working across multiple teams and dependencies, driving alignment without direct authority.
  • Clear, Strategic Communicator: Ability to simplify complex data systems and explain trade-offs to engineers, leadership, and customers. Experience presenting product strategies, PR/FAQs, and roadmap updates to senior stakeholders.
