The Mission

Your product mission is to assist Algolia’s business users with proactive suggestions, smart tools and automation capabilities to optimize their search and discovery curation strategies and reduce their workload. You will build a deep understanding of the needs and workflows of Algolia’s business users – e.g. merchandisers, content editors or marketers – and equip them with assistive, AI-driven tools to automate and optimize their efforts.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Product Manager at Algolia, you will be at the forefront of driving product strategy and execution. This role is critical in shaping our product offerings to meet market demands and exceed our customers' expectations. You will collaborate with cross-functional departments to deliver impactful results and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drive product discovery to understand and define who for, why and what we’re building to deliver on the mission.
  • Formulate, agree and communicate the strategy, vision, and roadmap with all key stakeholders.
  • Whether it’s mocking up concepts, writing functional specs or drafting a copy – you’ll do whatever it takes to push your product throughout the end-to-end lifecycle, in collaboration with engineers, designers, other product managers and cross-functional collaborators.
  • Shape agile processes and foster cross-functional team dynamics to deliver delightful, powerful products that exceed customer expectations and drive tangible business outcomes.
  • Build and nurture an agile and innovative product culture within the team, founded on the importance of continuous, rapid prototyping and learning.
  • Use analytical and quantitative skills to understand usage, inform prioritization and report on progress.
  • Understand the evolving competitive landscape and identify potential strategic partnerships for complementary product offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (legal, marketing, sales, customer success) to successfully launch products, drive adoption, and optimize customer retention.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Proven experience in building and launching AI-driven products, ideally generative AI or automation solutions that support business users’ workflows.
  • B2B SaaS experience.
  • Deep user empathy, ability to collaborate with product design to build best-in-class user experiences.
  • Data-driven/informed, with a strong ability to leverage analytics to measure product success, prioritize features, and refine strategies based on customer insights.
  • Proven track record in shipping and iterating on products within an agile software development environment.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills with engineering, design, product marketing, GTM sales, and customer support to help launch new products and support existing ones.
  • Ability to understand technical or complex business problems, craft effective strategies to tackle them, and present simple solutions to our customers.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

What would make you stand out:

  • Expertise in search & recommendations engines, hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies.
  • Technical background, applied to industry and business problems.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing workflow automation solutions that empower business users and enhance productivity.
  • Experience in or good understanding of eCommerce and/or media.
  • If no prior experience: ability and willingness to learn about specific industry trends and ecosystems, most importantly eCommerce.

We’re looking for someone who can live our values:

  • GRIT – Problem-solving and perseverance capability in an ever-changing and growing environment
  • TRUST – Willingness to trust our co-workers and to take ownership
  • CANDOR – Ability to receive and give constructive feedback.
  • CARE – Genuine care about other team members, our clients, and the decisions we make in the company.
  • HUMILITY- Aptitude for learning from others, putting ego aside.

FLEXIBLE WORKPLACE STRATEGY:

Algolia’s flexible workplace model is designed to empower all Algolians to fulfill our mission to power search and discovery with ease. We place an emphasis on an individual’s impact, contribution, and output, over their physical location. Algolia is a high-trust environment and many of our team members have the autonomy to choose where they want to work and when.

While we have a global presence with physical offices in Paris, NYC, London, Sydney and Bucharest, we also offer many of our team members the option to work remotely either as fully remote or hybrid-remote employees. Algolia powers more than 30 billion search requests a week – four times more than Microsoft Bing, Yahoo, Baidu, Yandex and DuckDuckGo combined.

Algolia is part of a cadre of innovative new companies that are driving the next generation of software development, creating APIs that make developers’ lives easier; solutions that are better than building from scratch and better than having to tweak monolithic SaaS solutions.

Being well capitalized enables Algolia to continue to invest in its market leading platform, to better serve its thousands of customers–including Under Armor, Petsmart, Stripe, Gymshark, and Walgreens, to name just a few.

We’re looking for talented, passionate people to build the world’s best search & discovery technology. As an ownership-driven company, we seek team members who thrive within an environment based on autonomy and diversity. We're committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace.
