Our mission is to bring the intelligence of modern machine learning directly to the in-store shopping experience.

The Role: We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer with Frontend specialism to work closely with product, design, mobile, and machine learning team members to design & build experiences that re-define retail shopping. You'll help build engaging & intuitive web experiences using highly responsive UI components and real-time data flows.

What You Will Own:

  • Understand the different users of the platform and advocate for their needs.
  • Translate user and business needs into a functional web application using RBAC and ReBAC to cater to the different users.
  • Contribute to API and broader system design & documentation as part of end-to-end delivery of features.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of UX principles and web design fundamentals.
  • Expert in Typescript and React.
  • Experience with real-time and bi-directional communication protocols and patterns (eg. WebSockets, SSE).
  • Built and deployed services on any major cloud providers' services (Azure, GCP, AWS).
  • AI-Native development: Fast iteration & prototyping using AI tools such as Copilot, Claude or Cursor.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in backend development and event-driven architecture.
  • Our stack includes python, FastAPI, postgres, Kafka and MQTT.
  • Worked with IoT or Edge-oriented architectures.
  • Experience or knowledge in retail POS, inventory, or loyalty systems.

Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned.
