We are a VC backed business working on behavioral AI solutions for the retail industry, currently operating in stealth mode. We operate in a zero-legacy environment with a mandate to build a cutting-edge platform for our customers.
We’re looking for a Lead Cloud Engineer to join our engineering team to help design and build our cloud platform from the ground up. This role is ideal for someone looking for a greenfield opportunity working on cutting-edge solutions.
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong experience designing, building, and supporting infrastructure in cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of cloud networking concepts and patterns, including routing, private connectivity, and security controls best practices.
- Solid experience with container orchestration systems and how to manage workloads at scale.
- Proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools and practices.
- Comfortable writing automation, configuration, and tooling to simplify operations and reduce manual effort.
- Knowledgeable about observability tools and best practices.
- Ability to collaborate across teams with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-cloud and/or hybrid deployments.
- Knowledge of optimising and managing large-scale data processing frameworks (e.g. Spark, Trino, or similar).
- Experience optimizing cloud costs/spend.
- Experience setting up SRE, self-service, and incident-management processes.
