The Role
We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer with Frontend specialism to work closely with product, design, mobile, and machine learning team members to design & build experiences that re‑define retail shopping. You'll help help build engaging & intuitive web experiences using highly responsive UI components and real-time data flows.
We are looking for people of varying experience levels who are willing to take the lead on delivering features end-to‑end. You will have already embraced agentic coding and how it can be used to enhance individual and team productivity.
What You Will Own
- Design and implement reactive, real‑time web interfaces that help manage & redefine what is possible with in‑store content personalisation
- Understand the different users of the platform and advocate for their needs
- Translate user and business needs into a functional web application using RBAC and ReBAC to cater to the different users
- Contribute to API and broader system design & documentation as part of end‑to‑end delivery of features
Essential Qualifications
- Strong understanding of UX principles and web design fundamentals
- Expert in Typescript and React
- Experience with real‑time and bi‑directional communication protocols and patterns (eg. WebSockets, SSE)
- Built and deployed services on any major cloud providers' services (Azure, GCP, AWS)
- AI‑Native development: Fast iteration & prototyping using AI tools such as Copilot, Claude or Cursor
Nice to Have
- Experience in backend development and event‑driven architecture
- Our stack includes python, FastAPI, postgres, Kafka and MQTT
- Worked with IoT or Edge‑oriented architectures
- Experience or knowledge in retail POS, inventory, or loyalty systems
