The Finance Analyst plays a key role in supporting financial planning, reporting, and analysis across the business. This role is responsible for delivering accurate financial insights that drive decision-making, improve performance, and support strategic objectives. You will act as a trusted partner to operational teams, ensuring financial discipline while identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, including variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business strategy
- Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insight and challenge performance
- Analyse key financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Assist in the preparation of business cases and investment appraisals
- Ensure data integrity across financial systems and reporting tools
- Support cost control initiatives and margin improvement activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting efficiency
- Assist with year-end processes and audits where required
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear insights
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., ERP tools)
- Studying towards or qualified in a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferred
