The role:
Algeco is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager who can plan, schedule, and execute production strategies to drive efficiency and continuous improvement. As our Production Manager, you’ll be responsible for optimising workflows, enhancing productivity, and ensuring resources are effectively allocated. You’ll lead the production team to deliver high‑quality products on time while fostering a positive team culture and driving operational excellence.

What you’ll be doing:
The Production Manager will be responsible for managing and mentoring production staff, providing leadership and guidance to foster a positive and productive work environment. Some key responsibilities related to staff management include:
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure that staff members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of production staff and provide feedback on areas for improvement. Implement corrective actions as needed.
- Identifying resourcing requirements and following relevant processes to ensure recruitment needs meet.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration among production staff and other departments.
- Ensure that all staff members are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
- Manage staff scheduling and resource allocation to ensure that production targets are met and staffing levels are appropriate.
- Identify opportunities for career development and advancement for production staff and support their professional growth.
Production:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and minimise costs.
- Deliver the daily production plan optimising resources and communicating performance against targets & KPIs.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, safety, and productivity.
- Plan and manage the production process, ensuring that output meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
Health and Safety Management:

As such, the Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all health and safety regulations and procedures are met in the production area. Some key responsibilities related to health and safety management include:
- Champion health and safety at all times, ensuring that our team members are always working in a safe and supportive environment.
- Responsible for embedding a health and safety culture.
- To report and investigate as appropriate and implement corrective actions for any observations, near misses, accidents or incidents in line with Algeco policy.
