Senior Landscape Architect
Truro, Cornwall | Full-time | £40,000 – £45,000 DOE
We’re excited to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, multidisciplinary planning, architecture, and landscape design practice based in the heart of Cornwall. With a strong portfolio of diverse and award-winning projects, they are now seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to join their talented and collaborative team.
About the Role
As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will take a leading role in the delivery of high-quality landscape and visual impact assessments (LVIAs) , alongside the development of innovative and context-sensitive design solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of LVIAs , feasibility studies, and landscape assessments for a wide variety of developments.
- Contribute creatively to the design and delivery of landscape proposals, masterplans, and planning applications.
- Work collaboratively with planners, architects, and other team members across disciplines.
- Liaise confidently with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, presenting design proposals and advice.
- Mentor junior team members and support their development.
- Help to shape best practices and promote sustainability in design.
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years\’ experience in landscape architecture, including demonstrable expertise in LVIAs.
- A degree in Landscape Architecture and CMLI (Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute) status, or working towards chartership.
- Strong knowledge of relevant UK planning policies and environmental standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to lead meetings and present work to clients and consultees.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp; GIS experience is a bonus).
- A creative, proactive mindset and a genuine passion for thoughtful, impactful landscape design.
