Head of Engineering- Civil Engineering

Alfred Recruitment are currently partnered with a leading multi-disciplinary engineering firm in Cardiff. They now have an opportunity to expand their Civil Engineering leadership team by bringing on a new Principal Civil Engineer. This will be a fantastic role for somebody who is looking to take the lead on major developments around Cardiff and South Wales, and who is looking for excellent personal development opportunity. As you will be working closely with the Associate Director of Drainage Infrastructure and helping to lead their dedicated team of engineers. This team takes on varied, yet challenging projects across the infrastructure sector with a strong focus on Sustainable Urban Drainage. If you want to be part of a team that takes great pride in the work they do and to make a profound impact on your local area, this is a perfect role to consider. 7+ years’ of Drainage Engineering experience, including SUDS & Flood Risk ~ A Civil Engineering Degree ~ Experience using ideally MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, AutoCAD,Civils 3D, and Autodesk ICM ~ Water Authority statutory approval processes such as S104, S106 & SuDS ApprovalBody approval ~ Awareness of National Planning Policy and Infrastructure design requirements relating to flood riskmanagement ~ Strong project management and project delivery experience ~ Agile & flexible working arrangement ~24 days annual leave + Bank Holidays & Christmas + additional days through service ~ Life insurance and life assurance policies and a health care cash plan ~ Contributory pension scheme Employee (5%) Employer (7%) ~ Professional institution membership fees paid for ~ Chartership support (through training, exam support, mentoring, etc.) ~ Excellent progression opportunity within a large team
