Alfred Recruitment are currently working with a multi-award winning façade engineering consultancy, who with over more than 20 years in the industry have built themselves an exceptional reputation for quality and expertise. They are currently in a great stage of growth having massively expanded their portfolio, and are now looking for a new Façade Engineer to join their team and bring their expertise to these exciting, high profile projects.
This role will suit someone with around 1-3 years of experience within façade engineering, as the role will come with a great deal of support from experienced mentors and the opportunity to be involved with some amazing, yet complex work. Also, this role will come with some fantastic career development opportunities thanks to the growth this company is going through with an opportunity to work on some of the world's most exciting and innovative projects.
What you’ll be doing:
- Completing engineering analysis and structural engineering calculations across a wide range of façade systems and elements.
- Supporting a variety of internal projects, producing sketches, reports and specifications, coordinated with a range of stakeholders.
- Working with external structural engineering consultants to ensure accuracy.
- Carrying through calculations using TEDDS for various systems.
- Carrying out site and factory visits where necessary, carrying out tests and reports when needed.
- Being involved in the company's R&D process, responsible for helping form new initiatives.
- Assisting the directors, associates and senior staff with other tasks as required.
What you’ll need for this role:
- At least 3 years’ experience working in a Façade Engineering role.
- Must have a bachelor degree qualified and ideally working towards Chartered membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers (although not essential).
- Good practical and technical structural engineering knowledge and experience.
- The candidate should also have a good knowledge of façade materials, products, manufacturing methods and construction methods.
