We're recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to play a key role in delivering capital projects from construction through to final handover. This is a hands-on, site-based position supporting the commissioning of major engineering projects across multiple operational sites. You'll ensure assets are delivered safely, compliantly, on time and to the highest technical standards.
- Lead and support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities through to operational handover.
- Review contractor commissioning plans, RAMS and technical documentation.
- Support Project Managers to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
- Resolve site-based technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) where required.
- Support plant testing, performance verification and final sign-off.
- Ensure all commissioning and project close-out documentation is accurate and complete.
- Participate in project meetings, design reviews and technical investigations.
Degree, HNC or HND qualified in an engineering discipline. At least 10 years' industrial engineering experience, ideally with an Electrical or Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA) background. Proven experience commissioning capital projects within an industrial or process environment. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South West. Experience within the water or wider process industry would be advantageous.
